Bring a Sword if you have one. Seriously :) Some people thought we were kidding. Lightsabers etc work too!
Tents to be struck by noon on Sunday (changed from 10:30), for a lazy exit from the site.
We now also have a stripe donation page for easy online contributions to our honeymoon :)
Please see new menus above for detailed information on Food , Drink , Readmefor the venue and the Schedule!
Who? ....
Laura & Simon :)
These two nerds are finally tying the knot... Make it So!
When? ....
13th May 2023
We've rented the whole site from Friday the 12th through Sunday 14th May. You can pack up leisurely on the Sunday, and are welcome to rock up from 3pm on Friday - though you risk being enlisted to help in setup! Tents to be struck by noon on Sunday :)
Click the name above for a link to their site - camping for all our guests is included at no extra cost - bring your own tent! and there's lovely facilities - so why not brave a night or two under canvas? :) Otherwise, the city of Ely is a taxi ride away with plenty of options.
If you got an invite, you're invited - as is/are your significant other(s), manservant, children, wards, squire, assistance animal, and witches familiar. Likewise, if you want to leave the kids at home, or don't want to bring anyone, that's also cool! Platonic +1's are also welcome :)
Apologies if we missed any names directly, but please do fill-in for us :) There's space for zillions, if not necessarily roofing.... See "dress code", below :)
Just let us know how many you're bringing, and if you can get your response in ASAP please we'll make sure everyone's fed!
Dress Code?...
Not really
It's a Pagan-style wedding in a field, so anything from Fancy AF, Viking-Vogue, Glasto-Glam, Metal-fest to Geek-chic - but make sure you're weather proof! Torches will be very handy too! :)
Please note, flooring will only be in the marquee, if it's been raining, wear heels/very posh stuff at own (mild) peril.
Food & Booze?...
Sorted!
No hotel bar prices here - check the drink page for details of our bar stocks and table wine, but please do BYOB (or as many as you'd like!) to ensure things stretch far enough or if you have specific wants.
A buffet is laid on for Saturday lunch from 12:00, and will be free for all in the marquee. For dinner, two food vans will be on site from 5.30pm till 9pm, Tibet Flavour and Pizza-My-Heart, offering a range of meaty, veggie, vegan and gf food for you to buy what you fancy, festival style. See the food page for further details!
We'll aim for at least 1 meals worth of cooked grub per head to be available on the Saturday lunchtime and evening, but for breakfasts and Friday/Sunday, camp cooking or packed lunches are the order of the day!
Am I invited to?...
All of it!
There's no "reception only" stuff going on, everyone's welcome to join us all day (and before/after at the site!)
We'll save anything ceremonial till about 13:00, so if you can't make it the full day, aim for there onwards. Update - Buffet lunch available from 12, so around then for a day trip :)
Prezzies?...
Your presence is 'present' enough!
We mostly just want to see you, but we're not gonna say no! We've lived together long enough to amass a lot of things, so dosh towards our honeymoon would be the most welcome.
We'll have a drop box on site, or bank transfer to 07-04-36 , 40713939, our shared honeymoon fund! As a name use either Laura Petchey or Simon Cogan. Alternatively, you can send us money online by card using this stripe donation link
If you'd really like to get us something physical, come see us before or after the day if you can, would be lovely as an excuse to catch up more casually too :)
